I was right....

All along I thought I was having a boy, and sure enough:

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My computer/scanner isn't working (UGH!) so I had to take a picture of my ultrasound pictures! Anyway, all looks well as far as we can tell! Lily was actually wanting another brother, even though early on she wanted a sister! So, it all works out! And since my sister is having a boy, now our boys can be buddies since they'll only be 3 months apart! SO fun! Now, if only we had a name! Boy names are especially hard for us. So, if you have any suggestions, send 'em our way! Doesn't he have the cutest profile?! :)

Music Man

Jameson is a music lover! This boy has got rhythm running through his body nonstop. Whenever he hears a song, whether it's on the TV, the radio, a cell phone ringing, etc., he starts shaking his body. If he's near his guitar and hears music he'll run and grab his guitar and "jam" along to it. It's so adorable! I really think this boy will be some sort of music prodigy. Ok, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here! But, I do think music will be a part of his life somehow-he takes after his daddy! Enjoy this 50 second clip of Jameson jamming along. Play close attention to his face! Hilarious! :)

Easter 2012 (and picture overload)

What a fun Easter weekend we had! This year the kids are way more into doing Easter activities than years past. It's been fun! Of course, this is by no means WHY we celebrate Easter. Sure, egg hunts, candy, dyeing eggs, etc. is really fun, but the REAL reason is because Christ died for our (my!) sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day! I'm SO eternally thankful He chose me to be His child and one day I get to spend eternity with Him! 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." Praise God!

We started out Easter weekend with making resurrection rolls and dyeing eggs. The rolls are big marshmallows, dipped in butter, rolled in cinnamon/sugar, and a crescent roll wrapped around it. As we made them, I was talking to the kids (mainly Lily as Jameson doesn't quite understand the whole story!) of why Jesus died for our sins, and how he was buried but rose again!

Jameson actually did a great job at this...I was a little worried with how messy he'd be!

 Concentrating so hard!
And the finished product! Not as cute as the photo on pinterest (where I found this recipe on!) but, it worked. And mainly because the kids wrapped up the marshmallow without completely sealing it all up. But, I kinda like how it turned out because you can see inside the roll and see that the marshmallow is gone-just like Jesus' body was gone in the tomb! It was a fun activity and one I hope to do in the years to come! After the rolls we dyed some eggs! Again, a bit nervous with Jameson, but he did great!

And yes, my children have no shirts on. It's how we roll.
The finished eggs-they did great!
The next day was the Easter egg hunt at our church. We were so thankful for a beautiful day! It was a bit chilly, but I'll take sunny and cold over rain any day!
Gotta love his cheesy grin. But, he really was saying "cheese" when I told him to!
 Jameson with his buddy Milah.
Lily and her good friend Zoe. Love that they're holding hands!

On the hunt! He was satisfied after only 6 eggs. Worked for me cause that meant he got less candy!
Lily got a ton though!
After the hunt we went to AJ's parent's house for a delicious brunch! The kids (and AJ and I too!) went on a fun hunt. But I completely forgot to take pictures!!
Easter Sunday! LOVE these kids SOOO much!

I love that Lily's face is hiding behind my belly!
Our little family of four (but not for too much longer!)
We had lunch at my parents' after church. And the kids (and us adults too!) also went on a hunt. Forgot to take pictures of that again. But, here's us ladies!
Pregnant sisters! Love being pregnant at the same time as Leandra. She's due in June with a boy! And I'm 17 weeks pregnant here and find out in 2 weeks from today what we're having! My guess is boy....we shall see! :)

March Snow?!

I know I'm a little late in the game for posting about snow since all my local friends have already blogged about it! Ah well. Last week we saw some beautiful snow falling ALL day on Wednesday. I've never (ok, maybe a few years back when we had that giant snow storm) seen it snow all day without stopping. Crazy! It was so pretty! Thursday we woke up to 6 inches at our house! The kids-who am I kidding? JUST Lily wanted to play in the snow. When I asked Jameson if he wanted to go play in it he said, "No, gross!!" What is with this boy not liking sand OR snow?! I'm hoping we'll head to the beach this summer to get over his dislike of sand! Anyway, here's some snowy pictures for your enjoyment:
This girl loves playing in it! Can you tell we don't have snow clothes? I mean, it maybe snows in Salem once a year so I don't want to invest in snow clothes. At least she had boots and a hat and coat to keep her warm!
While Lily was out playing, Jameson was zoning out to Sesame Street. He was perfectly content staying inside!

Jameson FINALLY said he wanted to go outside! I couldn't believe it. So, I got him all ready to go outside. He very carefully walked outside and stood under our roof-the overhang (or whatever it's called!) He refused to go any further. In fact, if you look in the picture you'll see where he's standing that there is no snow around him! He saw our dog, Charlie, with snow on his back and Jameson said, "Uh-oh!" to him. Then Jameson got a little snow on his boots and again said, "Uh-oh!" After that, he was DONE. Back inside he went. At least we got a picture to document that he did go outside!
Lily getting ready to go down the slide!
Love her face! Her eyes are completely closed! She did this about 4 times! Charlie was having a blast with her out there too :) And that's our snow adventures!

My Artist

Lily LOVES to draw. She's quite obsessed with it actually! Markers and blank computer paper are her favorites. In fact, my sister-in-law gave Lily a whole pack of blank printer paper for Christmas for her to use! I was tired of her stealing ours! :) Anyway, she draws us pictures all the time and I especially loved this most recent one:

Lily said this is a picture of the baby in my tummy (can you tell she wants a sister?!!) and all the dots around the baby is all the food that I eat and that the baby gets. Pretty smart if you ask me!! She even drew a little bubble around the baby. LOVE IT! Can't believe she'll be going to kindergarten in the fall! What will I do without my little helper around?! :)

Life Lately...

I love my kids. Especially when they play so nicely with each other!! Of course they aren't perfect and they have a sin nature, so we do experience the fighting and arguing. It's amazing how young they pick up on that! Anyway, they were being especially cute the other day playing with each other that I grabbed a picture of them!
Stickers on their faces. Weird? Yes. But, they were having fun and that's all that matters!
I'm the worst auntie ever and have never blogged about my sweet nephew Colton!!! I will have to do that because I have lots of pictures from when he was born! Anyway, this was before Christmas and we got to watch cousin Colton for the evening. He is 5 months now! The kids LOVE him! Especially Lily. She is a little mama to him!
Double fisting it. Juice in one, milk in the other.
This was our lame-o attempt at announcing to family we were pregnant. AJ had this idea of having a picture from the "future" (from the movie Back to the Future....yah, didn't quite work!) Anyway, we took this photo and then at the bottom super-imposed a date stamp of when my due date is. We randomly stopped by the parents' house and I said to them, "look at this funny picture I found." Because I was so nervous/excited I couldn't think of anything clever to say! Oh well, they eventually got it! :)
Oh Jameson, what am I going to do with you?! I was helping Lily take a shower and as we were coming out of the bathroom I see Jameson in his room, putting lotion so carefully into his hair. And if you look closely you can see some by his mouth. I asked if he tasted it, he said, "Yup." Awesome.
First belly shot at 11 1/2 weeks!!! YAY! Ok, yes I know I'm huge already. BUT, according to my doctor, my body thinks it's having twins still as my uterus is larger than should be based on how far along I am. TMI? Ah well, it's my blog and I can write what I want! :) My doctor said it'll take about 6 weeks (which was 2 weeks ago so now it'll only be 4 more weeks) for my body and baby to catch up with my uterus. Plus, we make big babies! May I remind you how big Jameson was? 9 lbs, 12 1/2 oz. Yes people, BIG babies. And, it's also my 3rd pregnancy, so there you have it!

First time ever....

That Lily has WANTED to change her brother's diaper! I always joke with her about it, but today she actually wanted to. Of course I needed to document this phenomenon! And she did great with it too! I'm thinking maybe she's a bit excited for this baby to come?! :)

PS Thank you for those that left such encouraging comments to me on my last post!!!
