6 Months!!

Today is Jameson's 6 month birthday and as a present he got shots :( Poor baby! He did so well and only cried as he was getting the shots. As soon as I was starting to put his pants back on I had given him his binky and he immediately pulled it out and started playing with it and cooing at it. He's such a sweet boy! He weighs 19 1/2 lbs and is 29 3/4 inches long!!! He's in the 85% for weight and off the charts for height. He's almost too big to be in his infant carrier (and too heavy for me to lift!!) but he can stay in it until he's 22 lbs. But his feet stick out at the end so I'm thinking we're going to have to move him to Lily's old car seat sooner than later. He's just getting too big too fast! We also started rice cereal with him for the first time tonight. He did so great!! He didn't open his mouth at first, but once I kinda shoved it into his mouth he took to it right away and ate all of it! Fun facts on J-man:
*Sleeping about 8 hours at night! I usually put him to bed around 10pm, he sleeps until 6am, I feed him and put him back to bed and he'll sleep until 8:30 or 9:00am! Awesome!
*In size 12 month clothes! Even his little jeans are 12 months but I still have to leave them unbuttoned since his belly is so big!
*Laughing more and more
*Not rolling over yet, but if I pull on his arm to start him to roll over he'll continue to do so all on his own.
*Can sit up well with our help and can almost do it by himself for a couple seconds until he'll start to fall over. We're almost there though!
*His hair is growing in more and it's still red!! I was afraid it'd come in lighter like Lily's did, but it hasn't changed yet!

He LOVES to bury his face in his blanket. Whether it's in his car seat or his swing or crib he'll always put it over his face! It's quite cute-and don't worry, after he's asleep I always pull it away : )

Love these cute kids!!

First bite of cereal and loving it!

Mmmm, tasty!

I think I was a bit excited to feed him for the first time :)

And he's leaning in toward the spoon!

All done-and not too messy!!

So, would you believe that I've completely forgotten how to feed my baby food?! Mommy friends I need your advice! Do I feed him cereal before nursing or after? Do I feed him 2 times a day for a while and then increase the amount? Do I just do cereal for a few weeks and then add a vegetable in? I can't believe I've forgotten everything! And of course with Lily I wrote nothing down. I know I could look online to get answers, but I trust my mama friends more! Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated : )

He's such an easy going lil man! I love your facial expressions too! :) Your such a fun lovin' mamma!

AS for the advice about the food...this mamma doesn't remember much at all either...that's what kids do to you, take all our brain cells! :) Um, I think I used to do a early morning feeding then after they took a little nap and woke up again I would feed them rice cereal then another nursing session. And I only did rice cereal a couple times a day then added a vegetable in then fruit. You'll remember it'll all come back to you! :) That probably didn't help you much...sorry!

I LOVE how he puts the blanket up over his face! That is too cute! Tyce just had his 9 month check and he was 29 3/4 as well! Haha!

I started Tyce on cereal twice a day, morning and night. About a month later I added in fruits, then veggies. The rule is one new one a week (so you know if they have any reaction to it).

He is just such a cute boy! I want to kiss those sweet cheeks! And as for the baby food, I have blocked all that info out of my brain because that is something I never enjoyed. Good luck!

He's so adorable, Amanda! I love the picture with his two little friends. :) And the ones in the bumbo. SO cute! I'm betting you've got lots of food advice by now. Hope you guys have a great weekend!

He's so stinkin' adorable!

I ditto what everyone else said about the food, including the "I don't remember much" part.:) But I would suggest definitely starting the veggies first instead of the fruit. If you start with sweet he may not want the veggies.:) ...at least that's what happens to me...

Isn't it funny how easily we forget the little milestones for our kids or when we are supposed to do things. I remember when Tessa was about 5-6 months old and someone asked me if she sat up. I had no clue because I'd forgotten to even try! He's such a handsome baby!
