Baby Love

Oh how I love babies-especially OUR baby! Just some fun pictures of little (BIG!) Jameson:
Snuggling with his "monkeys"-we have since taken them off his car seat because when he would cry he'd reach for those monkeys and try to eat them thinking they were, well, me! It just irritated him!

Hanging out-and looking a bit Chinese-ish. :)

Trying to take a picture of just Jameson, but big sister needed to get in there and show him love!

So sweet!

I love rocking with him! He is a snuggler!

Things are finally settling in now as a family of 4. Lily is still smitten by her brother, although she did inflict pain on him for the first time on Thanksgiving morning-what a way to start the day! She wasn't even acting out...I had turned away from her to get our coats, Jameson was in his car seat and Lily just goes right up to him and digs her nails (it had been a while since I had cut them!) into the bridge of his nose right by his eyes leaving 2 scratches. Awesome. Poor Jameson screamed loudly...I felt so bad for him! Needless to say Lily got in trouble and actually started crying so hard because I think her feelings were hurt. I think she understood the seriousness of what she did, and I'm hoping it will be a while before it happens again! I know there will be more episodes of her doing stuff to him, but let's hope it will happen when he can actually defend himself! Jameson is eating and growing like crazy! After we left the hospital he had almost lost an entire pound. Then we had a 1 week check at the doctor and he weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. Well, we went in just this last week for his 2 week check (and for him to get circumcised-ouch!!) and he weighed in at 10 lbs. 5 oz!!! He gained over a pound in a week and he also grew 1 inch! Unbelievable. You'd think because he's such a big baby that he'd sleep through the night, but he doesn't. He wakes up every 3 hours (which isn't terrible.) But I can't wait for the day when we can go in 4 or 5 hour stretches! I try to nap every day when they do, but sometimes the times don't coincide with each other-like, Lily will be sleeping but he'll be wide awake. Luckily I function really well off no sleep-at least that's what AJ tells me! We had a great Thanksgiving with AJ's family this year and it was so fun having both kids together! We are so grateful for our little miracle babies and all that God has provided and continues to provide for our family! We are even more thankful for our salvation and the fact we get to spend eternity in Heaven!

Life at Home

Well, we made it home! After spending 4 days in the hospital, both AJ and I were ready to come home with our son! We were especially ready for Lily to meet her new brother! She was so excited to meet him and was quite giddy. Here's some pictures of when she first saw him:Seeing Jameson for the first time
Running over to give him a kiss-so sweet!
She wanted to hold him immediately and of course give him lots of kisses!
Such a proud big sister!
And some more pictures of us in the hospital:

Love snuggling with him!
Daddy and his boy
Jameson hated the little crib thing in our room, so he slept with me every night! I really did try putting him in the crib after I fed him, but he'd wake up right away. At that point, I just gave up and really wanted my sleep so I let him sleep with me! It was fun!
Heading home!So tiny!Me and my kids!! (so weird to say that!)Daddy and his kids
First bath at home and he hated it!Look at that pouty lip!I know it looks like he's sleeping, but he's not! Just happened to be calm at that moment!

Sleeping...this is all he does-well, during the day at least. He's up all night!

Yes, I know, I look a bit tired :)
We are all doing great and adjusting quite nicely. Lily has only poked Jameson's eye once! She loves giving him kisses and hugs. I definitely don't trust her with him, so it will be interesting when it is just me and the kids at home...I'll have to keep an eye on her at all times! I'm still feeling quite sore from the c-section, but I've been so blessed with my mom and mother-in-law and the rest of my family coming over to help clean, cook dinner, and take care of Lily! I've got the best family ever! Jameson is nursing like a champ which is great. He sleeps ALL DAY LONG. I have a hard enough time waking him up during the day to eat! Which means he's usually up lots during the night because of this. I'm hoping we can break him of this sooner than later! But, I'll enjoy the cuddle time I have with him while he's still so little! We are so blessed with this new addition to the family! God is good!

Nov. 11th

Is the day of my c-section!!!

Had my ultrasound today and the measurements showed my little guy (well, not so little!) is estimated at weighing 11 pounds!!!! Unbelievable!!! Needless to say, there is no way I want to push that out! So my c-section is scheduled for this Wednesday at 12 noon. Not what I want, but it's better than trying to push him out and have him get stuck. I also don't like the fact that I'll be in the hospital for twice as long-especially since Lily can't come visit! I don't know if I've said on here before or not, but no one under 18 is allowed to visit at the hospital because of the terrible flu season. Poor me and poor Lily! I'm super bummed, but we were able to borrow webcams so hopefully that will be sufficient for her if she can't see us in person. She is allowed in the waiting room so at least AJ can come out and say hi. But neither me or the baby is allowed out. I know she won't remember this when she's older, but it still makes me sad that she can't be in the hospital room with us! Oh well right? Anyway, that is my update. Crazy that I'll have a baby on Wednesday! And I do love his birth date-11/11! So fun! I'll for sure have time after he's born to post pictures-so be on the lookout! : )

A friend emailed this to me and I thought it was perfect! I didn't write it, but thought it was too good to not share! :) Tomorrow is the big ultrasound day-I'm excited to see the baby on the ultrasound, but would rather see him in person! I'm pretty miserable right now, but I know the end is COMING! Praise the Lord! I'll update tomorrow what my dr. says and whether I'll be induced or have a c-section! God knows :)

Pumpkin Patch and Halloween

A few weeks ago we headed to a local pumpkin patch with our sisters and the Piper family. We went to a new place this year which was fun to try out! It was free to get in (awesome!) and the pumpkins were actually priced nicely. Lily even picked out her very own little pumpkin! It had rained the morning of, but by the time we got there it was ok weather-with no rain! Love this picture of me and my sweet girl!Lily climbing on top of a giant hay stack!I know it doesn't look like it in this picture, but AJ and Lily were way up there! She was afraid to even go up there and started crying after I took this! Oh well! Again, too afraid to do this by herself! And my sister's turn!Playing in a pit of corn kernelsLily was too afraid to go down this slide-but in her defense it was dark! AJ is trying to coax her down...
So instead of coming down by herself she comes with Tucker-and with a big smile!Next she comes down with her auntie Leandra-and Leandra's face looks more scared than Lily's!And I LOVE this picture too! Lily holding hands with her daddy and my sister's fiance' (got engaged last week!!!) Kevin.

The 3 kiddos-too difficult to get them all looking at one time!

Me and my sister Probably our last family picture before this baby comes!!
Here's my fairy princess on Halloween! Trying to get a shot of her wings on her back-but you can't really see it. Love her!

First we went to our church's Harvest Party and Lily got to play some games and have a snack! This is Lily's sweet friend Cami-and she's wearing the costume Lily wore last year! Crazy to think Lily was that small!

Lily "fishing" for some goodies

Next getting her face painted-I was surprised at how still she sat!

All done! Hard to tell because of the view, but it was a pretty flower.

Having a snackAnd with her bff Zoe!

I'm glad we participated in Halloween this year because I considered not doing it since I'm a giant, pregnant woman! But it was fun having Lily dress up and to see how excited she was when she got 1 piece of candy! I will say that we won't allow her to eat candy past 5pm from now on because this girl didn't fall asleep until 11pm that night!! Unbelievable! We still had fun though! And next year we'll have another little one to dress up-how fun!!
