Colby is 3 Months!

Well, sadly, this post will have no pictures. It seems I've used up all my free picture storage through this website, and it won't let me put anymore pictures on here without paying a monthly fee-which I won't be doing! I've even tried deleting old posts I don't care about to free up space, but I still can't post pictures! So frustrating. Not sure what I'm going to do yet....but, I'm super late on Colby turning 3 months that I want to write about him and try to post pictures later!

He turned 3 months a week ago (Dec. 10th) and is still the happiest, layed back baby!
*He sleeps great at night still-with either waking up to feed around 5 and going back to bed, or waking up at 6 and going back to bed after he eats. I don't mind it one bit!
*Is smiling ALL the time! And he loves to smile while sticking his tongue out! Such a silly boy!
*Is now in 3-6 mo. clothes because of his length! He weighs around 12 lbs (that was a couple weeks ago at the dr.) and is in the 90% for both weight and height! That's my boy!
*Loves looking at lights and loves the Christmas tree too!
*He loves to look at his brother and sister and easily smiles at them too.
*His neck strength is improving and he holds his head up well. He still hates tummy time. All my babies did though. I still try to make him do it, but he just cries-which is unusual for him! Thankfully, this boy pretty much only cries when he's hungry or tired and is fighting sleep. I am a blessed mama!
That's all for now! Hopefully I can get pictures on here, or I will be making a new blog with a different address and I'll let ya'll know :)

Jameson is 3!!

Meant to write this on Jameson's actual birthday, but time got away from me!! Oops!
Oh Jameson, how I love my sweet, red-headed boy! He is such a joy to be with-most of the time! He is a funny boy that loves to dance, sing, play instruments, pretend to play instruments if none are around! He loves to dribble a basketball, play golf, soccer, tennis, baseball, etc. I have no idea what he'll want to do when he's older because he loves all sports!! Sadly, he isn't napping anymore, which is too bad because he needs one! We finally took the binky away at nap time and he hasn't napped since that happened. I still make him go to his room for a "rest time" by watching a movie on our little DVD player. I'm amazed he doesn't fall asleep because he seems so tired! He still has a binky at bed time, but 90% of the time he ends up spitting it out by the time AJ and I go to bed and check on him. And quite honestly, I'm too much of a softie to try and make him quit at night! Plus, since he and Lily share a room, if he screams for that binky it'll keep her up when she needs to go to school! I know, I'm making excuses! But, the binky will end at some point! :) Note to self, don't let Colby have his binky that long!

Jameson loves to make us laugh by saying funny things. He will sometimes pretend he's an "old man" and put on his beanie, sunglasses, and tie (loosely!) Lily's belt around his neck and walk with a "cane" that's really a golf club. Where does he think of these things?!
He is soo sweet to Colby and always calls him "baby Colby." I saw him reading books the other day and it was so adorable!
Playing the drums on my tupperware!! With sunglasses!
He loves to get right in Colby's face and just sit there. He won't say anything. He'll sometimes kiss him and say hi, but mostly just puts his face right next to Colby!
Colby was not loving the bumbo so much. Might need to wait to try that again! Both boys had doctor appts. yesterday, and Jameson is in the 90% for both weight (39 lbs.)and height! Colby weighed 11.7 lbs (40%) and was 24 1/2 in. long (90%!)
A couple days ago we had a small, little party for Jameson with a few of his buddies from church. It was spiderman themed because Jameson loves all things "piderman!"
I made spiderman masks for all the boys. I'm definitely not a sewer by any means, but they weren't too horrible for my skill level! :) The boys loved it and that's what mattered-just don't look closely at them!
My parents got this trampoline for their house when we had Colby for Lily and Jameson to use. Well, we kinda stole it from them for the winter and put it under our awning we have over our patio. It's so great to make the kids go out there and jump some energy out of them! It definitely came in handy for these little boys! They were too cute!
 Eating a hot dog lunch!
 Yay for new toys!!

A big 3 year old!
All the boys!
Jameson, we love you soo much! You are a joy to to be around and bring so much fun to our lives! We love you!

2 Months!

And another month has come and gone. Crazy! Here's my sweet baby boy at 2 months old!
The picture is a bit blurry, but you get the idea! He is smiling so much more nowadays, and I love it! I definitely have to work hard to get a smile sometimes, but it's worth it. A few highlights of Colby at 2 months:
*Still in 0-3 month clothes, but he sure is getting chunky! He is soo long that some of the 0-3 barely fits. He sure has his daddy's height!
*No idea what he weighs-his 2 month check is next week and I'll be sure to update (just for my own personal record!)
*Sleeping wonderfully again! After that last post about him waking up, he is back to a 7 hour stretch. So amazing! I usually put him to bed by 10pm, he wakes around 5am to eat, then we both go back to bed. I'm so thankful! Sleep is a good thing!
*We've only tried napping in the crib once-and it didn't go so well. Weird, because at night he sleeps great in there! He is just usually in the car seat sleeping (cause we are always on the go it seems!), or in the swing, or in the bouncer. I'm amazed at what he CAN sleep through because Jameson sure doesn't know how to be quiet or whisper!
*Is a great nurser!
*He is a very calm, easy going baby.
We are so thankful for this sweet boy!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

 A cute bride!
Spiderman! Or, as Jameson says, "Piderman!"
 Gotta see Superbaby's cape!
 Love these kids!
And with their pumpkins that Daddy helped carve! Ok, he did all the work :)
Can't wait to trick-or-treat in the rain! Not! Kinda wished we lived in sunny California so we wouldn't have to wear rain coats over our costumes! Oh well!
 Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch!

A few weeks ago, our family, my sister and her family, and some friends from church braved the weather to go to the pumpkin patch. Thankfully, by the time we went the rain had stopped and it was quite warm! Was just the perfect weather for us!
I love this picture. Jameson was looking at something on the other side of this truck, and instead of going around the cardboard truck cut out, he just leaned in the he was talking to someone! At least that's how it looked to me :)
 Leandra and sweet baby Owen!
 Lily LOVES riding horses!
Sisters with our boys . . . if you look closely you can see Colby's face!
Yes, that's my adult husband riding on the horse that were for kids only! When he asked to ride them, they did have an adult horse for him to ride. He loved it.
Sadly, this is our first family photo of the 5 of us and you can't even see Colby's face!
 Tractor riding

I love that Jameson is looking at AJ like, "what?!"
Had to take a picture with Colby and this cow because they share the same birthday!
 See? :)
Um....So, there was face painting there. And I saw they had a sheet of paper with little pictures the kids could choose from. Unfortunately, I was too busy talking to pay any attention to what was happening to Lily's face. When she turned around I gasped, and tried to not make a big deal of it! I asked her what she said to the gal drawing on her face and Lily said, "I told her I wanted to be a zebra." Doesn't look like a zebra to me! That poor girl probably had no idea what to draw for a zebra since it wasn't on their little color sheet. I gotta give her credit for trying though! And yes, I was a bit embarrassed to be seen with Lily :) It's kinda shocking don't you think?!
 All the kiddos!
 Jameson loves tractors!
And since we couldn't see Colby's face in the pumpkin patch pictures, here he is! I was trying to take a picture of his little brother shirt and trying to make him smile all at the same time.
Almost a smile! You can see a little bit of his cute dimples!
There's a smile! He has smiled bigger ones but they are hard to get on camera! Mainly because I never have my camera around when he smiles! Love that boy!

1 Month!

Our sweet Colby is 1 month (and 1 day!) old!! I am sure I'll be saying this every month, but I can't believe how fast this month went!
A few highlights of Colby at 1 month:
*WAS sleeping through the night for a long time. But, ever since last weekend when he and I went to our church's women's retreat, he has regressed! Stink! He only wakes up once, which isn't horrible. But, it makes me miss the 8 hour stretch! Hopefully, we will get back to that point sooner than later!
*Still in NB diapers and could be in NB clothes if his legs weren't so long! He is just so long and skinny! So, lately I've been putting him in 0-3 month clothes and they're a bit baggy on him!
*I got him to smile for me for the first time last night! Of course, my camera was no where to be found and it was so quick I'm sure I wouldn't be able to catch it on film. But, it was the sweetest thing and he has 2 dimples that are so stinking cute!
This is Jameson at 1 month old who is a bit chubbier than Colby! But, I actually see some resemblance in the boys!!
We love our sweet Colby!!

Life at Home

Colby is now 3 weeks old and I think we are finally getting the hang of being a family of 5! I also still can't believe I haven't talked about Lily's first day of Kindergarten! My mom is the one who took Lily's pictures on her first day (since I was in the hospital!) so as soon as I get those pictures, I will talk about her and school! Here's just some snap shots of life at home with 3 kids!
 Snoozing away in the swing
Can you tell this girl LOVES her little brother?!

Jameson has done so well with him too! He has yet to try and hurt him! Praise God!
Yes, he may look like a girl, but I love these gowns for middle of the night diaper changes!

First bath at home...he hated it!
 All clean!

Cousins!! 1 week old Colby with 3 month old Owen (my sister Leandra's son!) So fun!
His eyes look a little creepy here, I think he was trying to sleep, but I love how he looks like a little old man in his tie shirt!
 My 3 kids!!
 Soo sleepy.
Is it just me or does Jameson's head look GINORMOUS next to Colby's?!!
Yay! Uncle Joel and Auntie Katie came to town to meet Colby!
With their nephews! Seriously, isn't Owen's hair the best?!
And my sweet Jameson riding around with his bear.
 Gotta love self portraits :)
I was practicing using my moby wrap and I think he likes it! Plan on using that this weekend when I go to Portland for our church's women's retreat!
Colby is an amazing baby. I hope that I'm not jinxing myself when I say that! He is sleeping through the night. I'm not kidding. He has been doing this since he was 10 days old. I keep waiting for it to end, and it may end sooner than later! But, for now, I'm enjoying getting 8-9 hours of sleep! And don't worry, I got the ok from Colby's dr. to allow him to sleep the night away! He is gaining weight too! As of last Friday he was 8 lbs. 8 oz! He sleeps great in his car seat and is flexible when we have to go places-like, picking Lily up from school. He isn't the best napper when we're at home. If we are out and about he sleeps great in his seat, but at home, we're struggling a bit. If I held him all day he would nap great! But, definitely can't do that while taking care of the other kids! We're figuring it all out :) So thankful for this sweet addition to our family!
