27 on the 27th

Yesterday was my 27th birthday and I really don't feel any older. I do like that I'm closer to 30 though!! I'm just always around people (my husband included!) who are 30 and over that I always feel so young compared to them! So it's kinda fun for me to try and catch up even though I know it'll never happen :) The day before my birthday my WHOLE family headed to my in-laws for a party for me. The theme was "Golden" since this is my golden year (27 on the 27th). It was lots of fun and I was spoiled!!!The "Golden" table! Isn't it so pretty?! Andrea and Barb did a great job decorating!Wearing my birthday crown with my little LilyJameson tried on my crown too....he didn't love it. But I love those cheeks!!!We were also given gold necklaces to wear that AJ sported so nicely :)Dan in his gold!Such a sweet picture! Road Trip

During the week of Easter, the kids and I took a road trip with my dad to Washington to see family! It was great timing since AJ would be busy every night with Easter rehearsals at church. Most of my family (Dad's side) hadn't yet seen Jameson, so it was the perfect opportunity to drive up there in my dad's sweet van! Lily was really loving the built-in DVD player! She wouldn't even take her eyes off of the screen to look at me for the picture! She was a pretty good traveler too. She never did nap though! Both my dad and I were wanting some peace and quiet : ) But, all in all she and Jameson did great! We only stopped 1 time for lunch and to feed the baby (pretty good for a 4 hour drive!) Once we got there we met up with lots of family and headed out to eat. My cousin Rachel's daughter, Janee', was there and Lily LOVED her-she was her new best friend! Lily wanted to follow Janee' around everywhere she went. They even sat together at dinner! We actually had to wait quite a while to get seated, and Janee' was loving on Lily and paying attention to her. Without Janee' there, it would have been awful for Lily! The two cute girls. I think Janee' is 8...I forgot! Sorry if I'm wrong!L to R: My Aunt Carolyn, cousin Rachel, my Aunt Dorothy (Rachel's mom), and my Grandma Virginia (Dad's mom).L to R: My dad, Grandpa and Grandma (my mom's mom)-and loving on Jameson!Sitting together at dinner. Janee' loved Jameson too! After dinner we went to the hotel and got settled. It was late for Lily and I was rushing to get her ready for bed and settled before I could feed Jameson. So, I just put him on the bed while I was dealing with Lily and he was just crying and crying-it broke my heart! He finally just wore himself out and fell asleep! Poor little guy! And when I say crying it was more like whimpering. This sweet boy doesn't get into loud crying very often! Anyway, the rest of the trip was spent visiting, going for a walk around the nice neighborhood, and I even got out all by myself to go shopping while my Grandma and Grandpa watched both kids (since my dad was working)! It was awesome! My Grandma loving on Jameson!

Grandma and her great-grand babies!

All of us together

My other Grandma (my mom's mom) and Grandpa and their great-grand babies!

We had a great time and loved catching up and being with family! The trip went by quickly and before we knew it we were on the road again! The way home took us a bit longer-like 6 1/2 hours! Stopping for lunch took a while, especially because I had to feed the baby and then Jameson decided he was hungry when we were an hour from home! Oh well. Thanks dad for everything, especially for putting up with my crazy kids-and of course for putting up with me :) We had so much fun!

5 Months!

My sweet baby is growing so fast! Today marks his 5 month birthday! He's such a JOY! Fun facts on Jameson:
*Laughs more!
*Right after I wrote about him not sleeping in his 4 month post, he is doing SO great with it! I haven't had to let him cry it out because he just randomly started sleeping through the night! We've had a few nights where he'll wake up at 3 am or 4 am (ouch!) but mostly he'll sleep until about 6am and I'll feed him then put him back to bed!
*Wearing 9-12 month clothes. His tummy is so big that it hangs over the waist of his pants! And just tonight AJ told me Jameson's arms look like the Michelin man!
*Sadly, he's losing his hair! But it still looks red so I'm praying it'll come back in red too!
*Almost too long for his infant carrier! He's still too little to move him to the next car seat though!
*Holds his head up really well and is getting better at it each day.
*Still won't roll over-the Dr. says he's too big to do that! But we are still practicing with him.
*And he's such a laid back, easy going baby. I'm SO thankful for him!!

Played a little too hard I think :)

Can you tell AJ was trying to make them smile for me?!

He was so sleepy that as I layed him down to change his diaper he didn't even move!!

This is my absolute favorite! I love snuggling him after he falls asleep and is out!

Trying to hold his head up in his new bouncer!

And after lots of practice he's now a pro and clearly loving it!

This was taken today before church-such a HAPPY boy! I love him so much!

Egg Hunt!

This was Lily's first year at our church's Easter egg hunt! Even though it was wet, windy, and rainy she still had a great time (mostly)! They had 3 areas roped off for different age groups-this was before the chaos of the kids! All smiles before she starts on her hunt! And it was FREEZING out too! With her buddies, Josiah and MicahAnd they're off! After about 2 minutes she just stopped where she was. We kept yelling at her and pointing at eggs for her to pick up-but she just stood there!!And this is how much she picked up! I guess she didn't want to grab all of the ones she could! Maybe it was too cold and wet for her? Really, I'm happy she didn't get more because than that would mean more candy that she'd keep asking for over and over to eat! The church provided coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts for everyone after the hunt was over. I think this was her favorite part :)

And Jameson getting in on the egg action! Crazy to think that next year he'll be old enough to hunt for his own eggs!!!
