Beach Trip

Over Labor Day weekend, we headed on over to Lincoln City to stay in our beach house. The weather was actually SUPER nice and not windy at all!! It was fun to get away considering that was probably the last "vacation" with just the 3 of us. Kinda sad to think like that, but yet exciting knowing there's a new babe on the way! Here's some pictures from our time:

The view from our beach house
A little overcast once we got down there, but NO wind! Amazing!
My sweet girl...she looks so old to me in this picture! And once the baby comes I know she'll look even bigger!
This is the view I always see! :) That'd be my belly in the way as I'm trying to take Lily's picture!
Playing with my Lily
The sun was starting to come out
I LOVE this picture! She loves her daddy so much!
Lily was wanting to jump in that water! It was all AJ could do to not get her soaking wet!
Snugglin' on the couch
Lily in a fun car outside of Mo's restaurant
I also love this pic of Lily and AJ-so smiley!
Lily took a picture of herself-I think it turned out pretty good! Plus, I love her baby blues!
One of the nights we were there, our friends the Pipers came over to hang with us.
Josh playing with Lily (she calls him uncle Josh-it's pretty cute!)
The kiddos looking out the window
AJ doing a little story time with the kids
The dads and kids in the hot tub!
It was a fun weekend and so nice to get away for a little bit! Next time we go there, we'll have a baby with us! Crazy!

Less than 8 weeks left!!!

It feels SO good to be counting down the weeks until we get to meet our sweet baby boy! I'm so excited to see what he'll look like, if he'll have lots of dark hair like Lily did, if he'll be EARLY like Lily was, and to just hold him and smell him and kiss him! I realized I haven't posted belly pics in a little bit, so here are a couple for your viewing pleasure. (Just know that I am BIG, and I make BIG babies-or at least God makes BIG babies!)

28 weeks

32 weeks (notice my belly button is officially sticking out and has been for a while!)

I'm even more excited because we (I mean AJ) finally started painting the nursery! AJ's been busy with other home projects and I hate to be a nag to him, but the other night he got a wild hair and started painting at 8pm! He just rolled one coat on so far, but he said he'll work on it this weekend. I just wish I could help him so he doesn't have to do all the work! But, at least once he gets started he's really fast at painting, and it's not like the nursery is a giant room anyway, so it should go pretty quick. It's just funny to me that with your first kid (at least for us) Lily's room was done way before this time! We both were just anxious to get her room and crib all set up. But with the second baby, you just take your time. Funny how those things change! I'm just looking forward to cooler weather because my summer clothes are officially too small! I have lots of long sleeved shirts and sweaters that will fit, but it's too stinkin' hot to wear them! Crazy weather. Anyway, I have an ultrasound in 3 or 4 weeks to look at baby again! Can't wait to see how much bigger he is than the last time we saw him! I'm also hoping he'll be early...I know I shouldn't be thinking that because than he'll most likely be late! But, a girl can hope right?! I just know it'll all happen in God's timing!

Friends are Forever

Lily has known Zoe since she was born. Of course she wouldn't actually "play" with her for a while. But still, these girls have grown up together! It's so fun watching them play-even though now they are at the stage where they play/fight like sisters! It's usually just over a toy or shoe or something they both want. But in the end they always hug each other goodbye! It's so sweet! Zoe was here yesterday so I was able to take a few photos of the girls having fun with each other!
Lily pushing Zoe on her swing that AJ made-this girl is on it all day everyday! It'll be sad once the weather starts turning bad!

How I love that they are both looking at me and smiling! Such cute friends!

And a play date wouldn't be complete without playing dress-up. Zoe kept her outfit on the rest of the time she was here, Lily took hers off right after I took this picture. I guess she's not quite into it yet. And a couple of pictures when they were much smaller and playing together:

Running around! I would guess they are both 1 1/2 in this picture.

And watching a movie together. I have even more older pictures of when they were babies, but they are in a scrapbook and not on my computer! Oh well! I just love that these girls will be friends forever (at least I can hope that right?!)

Camping!

I'll admit it...I'm not much of a camping girl. I think I like the idea of it more than I like doing it! But I LOVED camping as a little kid, but that's when your parents did all the work of packing everything up, making all the meals, and doing all the laundry when we got home. Now that I'M the parent, I hate doing those things! Our family (AJ, me, and Lily) usually only camp 1 time a summer-it's not bad. And really, when we get there we have lots of fun! This year I was dreading it since I'm a big, pregnant mama! I was seriously thinking about not going and just letting AJ and Lily go-or just AJ go since Lily can be a lot of work! In the end, I decided to go since it was only for 2 nights and I knew Lily would have so much fun. We ended up going to Foster Lake this year-only about an hour away which was so nice! The day we are supposed to leave is when it started POURING outside! I was so mad. Of all the weekends to camp it rains on on our weekend! We weren't actually leaving until later in the day (after Lily napped) and one of the couple's we went with offered for us to take their parent's really nice trailer so we could sleep in it! YAHOO! I should mention that had we'd not taken the trailer, AJ was going to sleep in a tent with his buddy Josh, and Lily and I were going to sleep in Josh's trailer with his wife Lynn. So, in the end, I would've been in a trailer no matter what! It was nice we had it though for our own space/junk/food/etc. Of course as we're pulling out to leave to go camping the sun is out! It didn't rain at all after that! It was beautiful! Still, I was just fine with our sleeping arrangement's!Our wonderful "home" while camping! We were really roughing it! :) Love this picture of Lily with her daddyThe master cook-well, this time he was just boiling water, but he cooked bacon later!Josh and Lynn's little guy, Brody. He's 4 months younger than Lily. My sister Leandra doing what we do best while camping: Relaxing and reading!Little Pink Riding Hood!Lily and Brody playing nicely. This didn't happen a lot, mainly because Lily would interrogate Brody!Playing on some fun rafts! These provided hours of entertainment for the kids-it was awesome!Andrea, Kelsie, and AJ relaxing in the sunThe cute kiddos eating dinner one night. AJ and me playing some track ball-at least I think that's what it was called! All I know is that I wasn't very good at it!Leandra and Kevin

Lily and her buddy Tucker

Andrea and Kelsie making s'mores

Snuggling by the campfire

Lily snuggling with AJ in our bed-yes, we had a bed while camping! It was great!

We really did have a fun time and once again I'm not sure if I'm going to want to go next year knowing I'll have an 8 month old! I'm sure I'll end up going though since I just don't want to miss out on all the fun! :)

Seriously?

Seriously?
Could my daughter be any more cuter?

Of course I never get her true smile! This was right after she got her hair cut and my hair lady wanted to make her hair all curly. I'm amazed at how still Lily sits while she gets her hair washed, cut, blow dried, and styled! But of course when I try and do that here at home, she screams. Oh well! At least it's cute for one day!
